Prosperous Theme Group

Purpose

To deliver the key interventions, develop Service Improvement Plans to promote a prosperous Borough and be responsible for the achievement of performance targets within the themes:

  • Delivering a strong and sustainable business base.
  • Development of the Borough’s unique cultural and tourism attractions.
  • Development of a community and workforce with the skills required by business.
  • Aiming high in school.

Meeting Format

Workshop format meeting two to four times a year.

Membership

Officers from relevant partner agencies, stakeholders and members of the community.

Role and Responsibilities of the Chair

There will be a Chair nominated by the LSP Secretariat every two years who will take responsibility for chairing Prosperous Theme Group meetings, drawing up agendas (with the support of the Prosperous Theme Lead/Coordinator) and representing the LSP as appropriate.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Members

To work together to create a Borough where high quality businesses can prosper and where local people have the confidence and skills to access the jobs that they offer.
